You look at your friends, and they seem to have it all together. Every day feels like a comparison game. You feel like you can’t measure up and you’re losing yourself to “what ifs” and “should haves.” You feel stuck, and thanks to social media, it’s like you’re watching the highlight reels of other people’s successes, while barely noticing your own.

You can’t figure out why you aren’t further along in your career, relationships, and life in general. You’re struggling to decide what to do with your life, while questioning decisions you’ve already made, just hoping to live up to everyone’s expectations. You don’t want to let anyone down, least of all yourself. You’re not sure what’s holding you back. You’re tired of doing the same old shit.

You’re open. You’re ready. But you’re unsure of how to make a change. You’ve talked to friends, but they don’t really get it and just tell you to do what they do. You’ve even read all the self-help blogs. Nothing seems to help. You’ve thought about therapy. You know it’s helped people. It’s all so new.

Hello, I am Alissa...

And I get it!

Working through the big decisions (and some of the little ones) can be scary. It was for me.

The great news is you have the ability to create a life that brings you joy. We’ll work in a laid-back environment where you can be yourself, figure out what’s right for you, and learn tools to help you navigate life’s curve balls using a variety of therapeutic methods. I’ve worked through many of the same challenges personally and spent over 15 years helping others do the same.

I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist.

What is it like working with me…

I let you take the lead in the therapy room. You decide what is important to you and what we discuss. I will introduce methods that I believe will resonate with you, while providing education on how those methods work, as well as concepts related to your situation.

I know and believe things will change…

I'm a firm believer that everyone has the power to make changes in their life.

But is there hope for me?

Everyone has strengths. I will help you find your strengths so you can build upon them to make positive change in your life.
