You are a healer – a therapist, a doctor, an energy worker – and pour into others’ cups all day, every day. Your own cup feels empty. You, who strive to help others know true connection, feel disconnected. You feel like something essential is missing. You crave the circle – be it water well, wash bin, kitchen table or firelight — around which we once sat with our tribe, a band of women who knew that the individual is but a thread of the greater community fabric, and that we must weave our stories together so that we may hold and be held.
You, Sister, have found home. Shannon Waliser, Mind Body Wellness founder and Circle facilitator, invites you to a daytime women's retreat so that you may connect with other Morgantown area healers and together rest, nourish, and restore. Shannon is trained in the Circlework model developed by Jalaja Bonheim, PdD, who describes Circlework as “a path that honors women's deep longing to connect in intimate and authentic ways.”
What work is done in Circles?
Circles are composed of intentional, deep connection that is at its heart reparative medicine. Circles are rich, awesome, space for coming into contact with both earthly sisterhood and the divine feminine. Imagine spending a morning in expansive spaciousness, connection like a consistent, stead and life giving heartbeat. Imagine a return to wholeness. A Circle practice blends verbal sharing, movement, journaling and touch to create the kind of safe and sacred space in which women may listen deeply to be with each other, and to bear hearts and souls to one another in a safe and supported space.
